Community in Cupar: Volunteers Needed
The Community Cafe will meet this week and next, then have three weeks of summer holiday, resuming service on Saturday 22 August.  When we begin again, we will need additional volunteers, especially in the kitchen and servery to prepare and serve the meals, and in the hall to engage with children and supervise their activities.  There are also other ways to support, including teaching English classes, helping to signpost various public services that are available, welcoming guests, and picking up the food donations on Friday night.  Everyone who serves needs to have a PVG or food safety certification through CiC, which will cover the cost.  Although the cafe meets weekly for most of the year, you may choose the frequency of service that suits your availability.  Please speak with Jean Martin [jeansmartin1968@gmail.com] if you're interested to help with food service, or Jeff Martin [jmartin@churchofscotland.org.uk] if you're interested to help with children or in another capacity.

Parking and Pedestrian Safety

Posted on 17th Apr 2026

If you're parking on the street during worship or another church activity, please park only in places where it is legal and safe to do so.  It's especially tricky near the tower, where the road is very narrow.  Let's be good neighbours.

If you're parking in the car park at the Old Parish Centre, please do not park in front of the emergency exit from the hall that is adjacent to our front door.  Cars should be parked perpendicular to building on the east side, and angled along the wall on the west side.  Please do not park on the pavement.  Let's be mindful of others.

If you're walking to the Old Parish centre, enter by the smaller gate (above) and please stay on the pavement next to the building - do not cut across the car park, where you might not be seen by someone in a car seeking to reverse.  Let's be safe.
