Fairtrade fortnight this year is from Monday 21 September to Sunday 4 October and the theme is 'Do it Fair - For People, Planet and Fair Pay'. Please think about making Fairtrade goods part of your normal shopping bag to help make this a reality for those who provide us with many everyday items like tea and coffee.
Cupar Fairtrade Group will have a stall on the 'Market Between Two Firths' on Saturday 19 September from 10am to 2pm, where you will be able to support the Transform Trade's campaign 'No More Profit From Harm'. This will be an information stall. Please drop by to hear more about this. At the same time, we will have a stall at St James the Great Church as part of their Music Marathon from 10am to 4pm, where you will be able to purchase the usual Fairtrade goods whilst enjoying listening to some talented musicians.

Community in Cupar: Volunteers Needed
Now that we have resumed following the summer break, we will need additional volunteers, especially in the kitchen and servery to prepare and serve the meals, and in the hall to engage with children and supervise their activities.  There are also other ways to support, including teaching English classes, helping to signpost various public services that are available, welcoming guests, and picking up the food donations on Friday night. 

Everyone who serves needs to have a PVG or food safety certification through CiC, which will cover the cost.  Although the cafe meets weekly for most of the year, you may choose the frequency of service that suits your availability.  Please speak with Jean Martin [jeansmartin1968@gmail.com] if you're interested to help with food service, or Jeff Martin [jmartin@churchofscotland.org.uk] if you're interested to help with children or in another capacity.
