Basis of Deferred Union Summary

Name of the new parish: Cupar and District Parish Church of Scotland
Property and funds: All assets of the three separate churches will belong to the new parish.
Places of worship: Current buildings are being reviewed and a recommendation will be made for retention or disposal of the buildings. Until then, worship will take place in all three buildings and in Monimail and Dairsie 'as appropriate', set by the new Kirk Session.
Kirk Session: All elders of the three churches become elders of the united charge.
Minister: The three congregations will immediately begin the call process for a new minister. If the minister is called before the demission of Rev Jeff Martin, they will be installed in the first instance as the minister of St John's and Dairsie, and then will take on the full charge at the demission of Rev Martin and union of the churches.
Manse: If the new minister is called and installed before the demission of Rev Jeff Martin, the manse of St John's and Dairsie will be used. If the new minister is installed after Rev Martin's demission, the manse of Cupar Old will be used.
