Cupar Foodbank

Cupar Foodbank is a local branch of a charity that solely relies on food donations from the community to feed local people in crisis. It is operated by Cupar Churches and is part of the Trussell Trust network which supports over 420 Foodbanks in the UK.

Find out how the Foodbank can provide support
The Foodbank is located at 21 St Catherine Street and is open Mondays 11am - 3pm, Wednesdays 4pm - 6pm and Fridays 11am - 3pm and 5pm - 6pm.
Crisis food packs are available once you have a referral from one of the frontline care agencies and charities the Foodbank partners with.

Our figures to date highlight that since it's inception 3 years ago, Cupar Foodbank has fed more than 4000 people providing 48.000 plus meals. The past few weeks have seen us getting  busier and we are currently giving out approx 280kg of food per week. However the amount of food being donated is amounting to approx 100kg per week. As such our stocks are getting very low on certain items. We would be most grateful if you can help in any way you can.

Items we are extremely short of are as follows:

Tinned Spaghetti, tuna, spaghetti bolognaise, meatballs, chicken in white sauce.

Fruit juices, jam, savoury snacks, UHT full fat milk.

Rice, small jars coffee, soap, wash up liquid.

Thank You

Donating food

The Foodbank solely relies on food donations from the local community to feed local people in crisis.  A standard shopping list is available via the link below

http://cupar.foodbank.org.uk/resources/documents/foodbank/CuparFB-Website-Shopping-List.pdf

If you want to support the Foodbank through donations you can place items in the permanent collection point in Tesco Cupar, bring along to church or drop off at the Foodbank during opening hours.  Placing items in the permanent collection at Tesco has the added benefit of the Foodbank receiving 30% of the value of the goods donated and it saves having to carry and transport extra shopping

Details of low stock items are regularly updated on the Foodbank website:
