Every Monday morning the Forum meets in the Old Parish Centre for exercise from 10.30 to 11.30am led by Elaine Hughes. Elaine was Head Physiotherapist at the Victoria and Queen Margaret Hospitals before she retired, so her work experience with creaking muscles and joints make her an ideal tutor for us. Gentle exercise strengthens our muscles, loosens our joints, improves our coordination and heightens our sense of wellbeing, so it is important that we exercise regularly. The exercises are graded and suitable for all so if you are retired then why not spend an hour at the Old Parish Centre on Monday morning.
On the last Friday of every month the Forum meets in the Old Parish Centre from 2.00pm to 3.45pm. to provide information about the various care services that are available in our area. Speakers cover wide ranging topics of general interest and also topics especially relevant to the ageing process. In addition to the social aspect of meeting together, the Forum does function as an action group by campaigning for better services in Cupar, and other parts of Fife. In recent times aspects of home care, transport and housing have been tackled with some success.
