Please pray for the Central African Republic where 12,000 Internally Displaced People have been left in a desperate situation after their camp was burnt down by armed groups.      

Please pray for Cupar food bank and other food banks as they begin to get busy around Christmas.

Church Readers Rota: The rota for 2019 is about to be made up if anyone would like to join the rota please contact Liz Nelson (liznelson48@aol.com) by 30th November.

Lighthouse Thanksgiving Service will take place on Sunday, 2nd December at 6.30pm in St James the Great, St Catherine Street, Cupar

Christmas Tree Decoration: The decorating of the Christmas trees in the Parish Centre will take place on Tuesday 4th December at 6.00pm. The tree in the church will be decorated on Tuesday 11th December at 6.00pm. Volunteers welcome.

Cupar Choral Society will be performing Handel’s Messiah under the baton of Musical Director Michael Segaud on Saturday 8th December at 7.30pm in St John’s Church, Cupar. Tickets at £12/£10 can be purchased at the door on the night. All will be very welcome at this Christmas Concert of a much-loved work.

Church Lunch will be at Fairways Elmwood Golf Course on Thursday 13th December at 12:00. Total cost £19 for 2 courses plus tea/coffee. Menu choices and more information from Jill Logan. 

Cupar area churches are invited to join in carolling at the Farmers’ Market in Cupar on Saturday, 15th December, from 11:00 to 11:30 at the Market Cross. Carol sheets are provided. All—adults, children, professionals, in-the-shower-only—are welcome. Jolly attire welcomed, but not required.

Friends of St Columba’s Choir Christmas Concert on Saturday 15th December at 6.30pm in St John’s. Tickets, £10 for adults and £2 for children, in aid of Mary’s Meals and YMCA Homelessness Project in Glenrothes, are available from the Lighthouse or Shena (653 561). Book early to avoid disappointment!

Sunday 16th December is our gift service for Families. Gifts can be left in the sanctuary on that Sunday. Please do not wrap parcels, but wrapping paper would be appreciated. We will have someone from Families First with us that day. Thank you.

The Volunteers Lunch will take place on Monday 17th December at 12.30pm in the Lounge. Anyone who volunteers in any way is very welcome to come along and have a free lunch and sing a few Christmas carols. Any queries please contact Jill Brown.
