INTIMATIONS FOR SUNDAY 3rd DECEMBER 2017

The prayer team are now available before worship as well as after.  If you would like to pray with someone between 10:45 and 11:00, please go to the session house, where the prayer team will be waiting.  The prayer team continue to be available immediately after worship in the sanctuary, and following coffee time in the Old Parish Centre in the quiet room.

Volunteers invited to decorate the Old Parish Centre and the church.  From 6.30 pm. Refreshments provided.

Thursday 7th December

Coffee and Chat Outing:  Lunch at Fairways, Elmwood Golf Course as a time for the church family plus friends to enjoy a wonderful 2 course Christmas lunch (12midday).  Names and menu choices, see Jill Logan (655528)

Saturday 9th December – 6.30 – 9.30 pm

Christmas Celebration Ceilidh:  Fun for all ages.   Ceilidh with Clamjamfry ceilidh band, party games, buffet, jelly and ice cream!  Tickets are £5 for adults, £1.50 for children (under 3 years go free) and are available from the Sunday Club team.  We hope to see you there!

Saturday 9th December

Sleep in the Park, a mass sleep-out to end homelessness in Scotland, will take place on Saturday 9 December in Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh.  Organisers hope to have nine thousand people gathered together for a night of sleeping rough, and in the process raising both money and awareness of homelessness in Scotland.  Derek Browning, Moderator of the General Assembly, is praying for a thousand members of the Church of Scotland to take part.  For more information: http://www.SleepInThePark.co.uk

Cluster and Town Carol Service: in Cupar Old.  Refreshments will be served in the Old Parish Centre after worship.

Saturday 16th December – 6.30 pm

Friends of St Columba’s Community Choir are holding their Christmas concert in St John’s Church.  Tickets available from The Lighthouse or Shena Porteous - £10 for adults, £2 for children - in aid of Cupar Foodbank and Mary’s Meals.  Last year was a sell-out, so book early to avoid disappointment!

Saturday 16th December – 11 am

Carol Singing - Cupar churches are coming together to sing carols at Cupar Farmers’ Market.  This was well received last year.  No singing auditions required, just a willingness to show something of the true spirit of Christmas.  All adults and children welcome.  Carol sheets provided. Saturday 16th December – 3 pm

Yvonne Gray School of Dance has organised a special Community Christmas performance for the older members of Cupar community in the Old Parish Centre.  This will be free of charge and there will be a cup of tea afterwards.  If anyone would like a ticket contact  Jill Brown on (657 712) or (07979 352314).

Monday 18th December – 12.30 pm

Volunteers Lunch – all volunteers from the Old Parish Centre are invited for lunch.

Christmas Hampers. Cupar Foodbank are in desperate need of supplies in order to provide Christmas hampers. Our congregation have been asked to supply the following items: Fruit juices, diluting juices, coffee, tinned macaronic cheese or tins/ready made custard.  It would be great if you could bring to church or place in the trolley at Tesco by 17th December. Thank you.

Wednesday Old Parish Centre Craft Group from 2-4 pm this Wednesday 6th December and every second Wednesday in the month.  Come along with whatever craft you enjoy

Thursday Babies Group: (Babies and Toddlers), 1-3pm. There is a crèche room for the babies and the hall is available for all children with toys for both babies and toddlers.
